Ivanka Selling Presidential Access to Foreign Billionaires?
Presidential daughter Ivanka Trump may have begun to quietly sell access to her father, President Donald Trump to foreign millionaires and billionaires.
She has been soliciting millions of dollars from foreign dignitaries as she seeks to build a massive fund.
According to a report by Mike Allen at Axios, Ivanka is pushing the nepotism envelope one more time.
“Ivanka Trump told me yesterday that she has begun building a massive fund that will benefit female entrepreneurs around the globe. Both countries and companies will contribute to create a pool of capital to economically empower women,” Mike Allen reported recently.
He quoted her as saying that “when you invest in women and girls, it benefits both developed and developing economies. Women are an enormous untapped resource, critical to the growth of all countries.”
According to reports, Canadian, German and Middle Easterm billionaires have begun committing millions of dollars to the president’s daughter and experts fear this may be another avenue for these foreign millionaires and billionaires to curry favor with the Trump administration.
The solicitations are said to have the approval and blessing of President Donald Trump.
“President Trump is a huge supporter of his daughter’s idea, and she has consulted with World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim about how to pull it off in a huge way,” Mike Allen said.
Ivanka has unprecedented access to her father but she has no official portfolio to speak of.
