Jared Kushner: Trump thinks Republicans are Stupid
Donald Trump climbed on the backs of Republicans to get to the White House while telling so many lies it was impossible to keep track.
And all the time he was lying to them he thought they were stupid and incapable of understanding that they were being lied to.
As amazing as this sounds, is anyone really surprised by this admission by the first son-in-law, Jared Kushner?
Elizabeth Spiers, the former Editor of Jared Kushner owned New York Observer posted on Facebook her recollection of a conversation she had with her former boss during the 2016 presidential election.
In her Facebook post, she began by saying that her opinion of the president was formed by real-life interactions with the family. She called Donald Trump a “notorious liar.”
“My opinion about Donald Trump is formed by, among other things, actual real-life interaction (with) the family and having covered the business he’s in, where he was such a notorious liar,” Spiers said.
“A friend of his once said of him, ‘he’d lie to you about what time of day it is, just for the practice.’ And that was a friend,” she posted.
She said she once told Kushner how appalled she was about Trump’s willingness to lie about President Obama’s citizenship and Kushner told her it was just a con job.
“Jared Kushner and I were going back and forth about how the paper should cover him. I told Jared that I was particularly appalled by his father-in-law’s birtherism stance, which I viewed as cynical and racist.”
“He rolled his eyes and said, ‘he doesn’t believe it, Elizabeth. He just knows Republicans are stupid and they’ll buy it,’” Elizabeth said.
“And sadly, he was apparently right,” she added.
For the past few years, Donald Trump called President Obama’s birth certificate into question, perpetuating the myth that the former president was not born in the United States.
