What would Jesus Do with Trump if He Came Back Today?

Would Jesus approve of Donald Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump - What would Jesus say to him if He came back today?

Do you believe U.S. President Donald Trump is a Christian? Does he talk and act like a Christian? Would Jesus be pleased with him if he, Jesus, were to come back today? Would Jesus approve of his words, actions or policies?

Six months after Donald Trump was sworn in as President of United States, Americans have seen the office of the president at its worst. Never in the history of this country has any president been this confused and irrational.

He has displayed a lack of character and wits that it is beyond laughable to the American people and the world.

No one is perfect, not even the President of United State of America but as an American citizen, you expect the leader of the free world to be prudent, consistent, rational, intelligent and right. Well, not this president.

When Donald Trump speaks, he is peaking only to his base, not to the whole nation. One wonders the kind of president Trump sees himself as – a biased president of America?
Not long ago, evangelical leaders across the country blasted former President Barack Obama’s agenda and polices.

They called him all the names in the book, never blessed him or prayed for him, instead they did the opposite. For eight years they humiliated him even though he was president to all Americans and he cared for all Americans.

However, since Donald Trump was elected president he has divided Americans like no other president has done. Just look at his agenda and polices and you you will easily see where he stands on the issues.

His plans and policies are anti poor and anti-middle class. He is non apologetic about it. He acts like a bully. He lies and disrespects women and other minorities.

Look at all the stuff going on in his administration regarding the 2016 election and Russia’s meddling. Yet none of these evangelical leaders has rebuked him or said anything about his actions or policies. They defend him as God-sent, lay hands on him and pray for him. These evangelical leaders are supposed to preach the truth of the Bible which is the Word of God.

Today’s so called evangelical leaders are modern day Pharisees in my opinion.

They support Donald Trump in all he does. He has never claimed to be a Christian, never cared for the poor and middle class. He has blocked everything that would help the lowly in this country.

That is not the mind of Christ and certainly shouldn’t be the mind of these evangelical leaders that praise Trump. This administration does not care about issues that will make the lives of America’s poor better, issues like health care, immigration, climate change, voting right, lowering taxes for the poor etc.

Just this weekend, we saw another example of President Trump’s inconsistency in his reaction, or the lack of, on the neo-Nazis and white supremacists’ mess in Charlottesville, Virginia.
It took him 48 hours to call the avowed and minority-hating KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacists, racists.

Facing mounting pressure from Republicans and Democrats, Trump finally came out Monday morning to read a statement on teleprompter that was widely condemned as inadequate and not coming from his heart.

“Racism is evil — and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America,” Trump said.

But a closer look at his policies clearly shows his bigotry and lack of seriousness when it comes to minority and racism issues.

It is also worth remembering that Trump began his presidential campaign last year by calling Mexicans “rapists.”

The question I am asking is – what would Jesus do with Trump if He were to appear today? Would he support Trump or rebuke him? Would He rebuke these evangelical leaders for supporting Trump?
