‘Art of the Deal’ Co-Author Predicts Trump Will Resign Soon

Schwartz - The Art of the Deal co-author

Nearly 30 years ago Tony Schwartz helped create the myth that New York businessman Donald Trump was intelligent when he co-authored the best-seller, The Art of the Deal. Today, he says that was a huge mistake on his part.

Earlier today, Schwartz took to Twitter to declare that the presidency of Donald Trump is effectively over and we should expect him to resign soon.

He said that white supremacy is grounded in the belief that whites are superior to other races and Trump subscribes to that belief.

Schwartz had earlier said he now believes that Trump is not nearly as smart as he lets people believe he is.

“I believe he is so insecure, so easily provoked, and not ― not particularly nearly as smart as people might imagine he is. And in the face of someone like Putin provoking him cleverly. … I do worry that with the nuclear codes [Trump] would end civilization as we know it,” Schwartz told GMA’s George Stephanopoulos.

“I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is,” Schwartz later told the New Yorker.

In an earlier Tweet, he said the circle is closing at blinding speed on Trump’s presidency and we can expect him to resign “and declare victory” before special investigator Mueller and Congress force him to leave.

He said the Russia investigation is huge and Trump does not want to go to jail.

In May this year, Schawrtz made the same predictions that Trump will eventually resign his office.

“I surely believe that at some point over the next period of time he’s going to have to figure out a way to resign,” Schwartz told CNN at the time.

“There is no right and wrong for Trump, there’s winning and losing,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “And right now, he is in pure terror that he is going to lose.”
