Billionaire business magnet Oprah Winfrey is thinking about running for President of United States in 2020, according to those familiar with the former talk show host. Would you vote for her?

People familiar with her thinking said Monday the media mogul is mulling a run against President Donald Trump and the chorus urging her to run grew louder after her rousing speech during this year’s Golden Globes awards ceremony.

“I want her to run for president,” Streep told The Post. “I don’t think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn’t have a choice.”

Sources said Oprah has been thinking about running for the office for months “although she has not made any decisions as far as I know,” a source close to Oprah told The Liberal Advocate News Monday afternoon.

Monday morning television talk shows and news programs fanned the flame of an Oprah presidential race after she electrified the Golden Globes crowd with her “a new day is on the horizon” speech. Experts say that could be the beginning of a campaign rally cry.

“’A New Day is on the Horizon.’ Can you imagine a better rallying cry for women across this country? Think about that for a moment. It is instantly recognizable and with her near universal household name, she can sell the heck out of it,” a source told us Monday.

Most Democrat-leaning political pundits are excited about the possibility of an Oprah presidential campaign but others expressed concern that Americans may be unwilling to elect a TV star twice in a row, especially after the disaster of the Trump administration.

“That will be my main concern. Looking at the mess Trump is making so far, will Americans be willing to give her a chance even though she is obviously very smart?”

One disadvantage Oprah Winfrey may face is her lack of political experience but Democratic experts believe she will be able to overcome that should she decide to run.

Oprah’s long-time partner Stedman Graham told the media that the business mogul would be willing to do it but whether she does run will depend on Americans. “It’s up to the people,” Graham told a Los Angeles Times reporter. “She would absolutely do it.”

In the past, Oprah has indicated that she would be open to a female American president though she has not indicated her willingness to run.

While campaigning for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign, Ms. Winfrey said electing a female president would be a “seminal moment for women,” adding “America, it’s about time that we made that decision.”

With a deep pocket and an even deeper well of support, Oprah can easily finance a presidential campaign and experts believe that with her instant name recognition, she would be a prohibitive favorite.

“There’s only one person whose name is a verb, an adjective, and a feeling. And that is Oprah,” Reese Witherspoon said of Oprah’s superstar status while introducing her at the Golden Globes.

In an interview on Bloomberg last year, Oprah told interviewer David Rubenstein after the election of Donald Trump …” “I thought, ‘Oh gee, I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough.’ And now I’m thinking, ‘Oh. Oh!'” Rubenstein had spoken about the possibility of an Oprah presidential run, saying “It’s clear you don’t need government experience to be elected president of the United States.”

Actress Meryl Streep told The Washington Post she wants Oprah to run for President. “I want her to run for president,” Streep told The Post. “I don’t think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn’t have a choice.”

One thing is clear from the reception Oprah Winfrey’s speech received at the Golden Globes – she would have a lot of supporters in the entertainment industry should she decide to run.
