“I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That’s not for me.”

But she told the magazine: “I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me.”

She added: “I don’t have the DNA for it.”

Oprah revealed that she had been toying with the idea saying “I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That’s not for me.”

During the Golden Globes speech which touched on sexism and racism, Oprah said she wanted all the girls watching the show to know that a new day is on the horizon.

“I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon. And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say, ‘Me too’ again,” she told the audience most of whom showed their appreciation.

“I have to say the core of me is about conversations. Exploring the depth of our human experiences. That is what I do. That is my calling,” Oprah Winfrey told InStyle magazine magazine.

“Whether I do that through dramas, producing stories with OWN [Oprah Winfrey Network], or one-on-one conversations that matter, I know that’s what I’m here to do.”
